William Tullett is Lecturer in Early Modern History at the University of York, a member of the Odeuropa project and the author of Smell in Eighteenth-Century England (2019) and Smell and the Past: Noses, Archives, Narratives (2023). The latter argues for the use of smelling in research, teaching, and engagement.
